Welcome to the The Lab – Lecture Room, a cornerstone of the upcoming Ljubljana Coffee Festival 2024 presents a curated series of expert lectures of the specialty coffee industry. By bringing together scientists, coffee farm owners, and world-barista champions, “The Lab” follows global trends of specialty coffee industry.

This specialized venue is poised to elevate the discourse surrounding the coffee industry, offering a platform for in-depth exploration and insightful discourse. Over two days, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with presentations delivered by globally renowned experts, covering topics ranging from coffee cultivation at the farm level, fermentation techniques, green coffee sourcing, roasting, water chemistry, coffee preparation, and the science behind coffee industry innovations.

Distinguished lecturers, scientists and world champion baristas who will lead professional lectures this year: dr. Samo Smrke from ZHAW University of Applied Sciences, Camilo Merizalde – Santuario Project, Jorge Castro – Cafe Inmaculada, Martin Hudak – World Coffee and Good Spirit champion, Dale Harris – World Barista Champion, are just some of the stars of more than 32 experts who will be hosted in Ljubljana this year.
